Virtually Eliminate O-ring Leakage and Lower Your Energy Costs
Select FILMTEC™ brackish water and seawater reverse osmosis (RO) elements are now commercially available with iLEC™ interlocking endcaps, an innovative element coupling technology that significantly enhances the performance of RO systems.
Unlike sliding couplers, the decades-old connection method still used in most of today's advanced RO systems, the iLEC technology achieves a direct, leak-tight connection between adjacent element permeate tubes, reducing the number of sealing surfaces to a single, axially compressed o-ring. This patented design dramatically reduces the potential for seal leakage, enabling sustained higher quality permeate throughout the life of the elements, and reduces energy-consuming flow resistance, resulting in lower operating costs.
1. The above values are normalized to the following conditions: 32,000 ppm NaCl, 5 ppm Boron, 800 psi (5.5 MPa), 77°F (25°C), pH 8, 8% recovery.
2. Permeate flows for individual elements may vary +/-15%.
3. Product specifications may vary slightly as improvements are implemented.
4. Active area guaranteed +/-5%. Active area as stated by FilmTec is not comparable to the nominal membrane area figure often stated by some element suppliers. Measurement method described in Form No.609-00434
5. Stabilized Boron Rejection - 88%.
